The Mission Outreach Commission supports Habitat for Humanity by providing pantry items for new Habitat for Humanity homeowners. During the Covid-19 Pandemic Sugar Creek continued this ministry by having a drive up drop off for members on August 9, 2020 to contribute items for a home dedication on August 14, 2020. Habitat will have 4 more dedications this fall and we collected enough items to provide for some of those as well.
The commission also started a new ministry during the pandemic by having a casserole drive to support St. Vincent de Paul, a homeless shelter in Dayton, Ohio. On May 17, and June 28 Sugar Creek members dropped off ready to heat lasagnas and also provided new sheets, towels, and wash clothes for St. Vincent de Paul.
